And just like you, we're keeping up with the latest news about the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and its impact on our communities and the markets.

Most importantly, we're taking steps to protect the health and well-being of our clients, associates, families and communities. In addition to enhancing cleaning and disinfecting policies, suspending travel and cancelling large group events for our branch teams and headquarter associates, we've made the decision to only work virtually with new and existing clients until the situation improves. Working virtually doesn't limit our ability to answer your questions or have review discussions to see if you're on track toward your goals and make adjustments to your strategy, if needed.

As the coronavirus outbreak continues to evolve, we remain committed to serving our 7 million clients while also caring for our colleagues. We continue to follow the guidance of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and local health department.

  • Virtual Meetings via Web Conferencing
    • Web conferencing can be done from your computer, tablet or mobile device - all you need is an internet connection. Your financial advisor can share information live from their system, just like you're in the office. If this is the first time you've participated in a web conference with your financial advisor, all you need to do is review the instructions and download the software. Then you're ready to go. If you have any trouble, give your branch team a call.
    • If you're not currently working with an Edward Jones financial advisor, find one who can help answer your important questions.
  • Online Access
    • Around-the-clock access to your Edward Jones account including investments, timely market news, research and much more. You can also stay in touch with your financial advisor through secure messaging and view your statements and other account documents electronically. If you aren't enrolled in Online Access, learn how to sign up today.
  • Secure Texting
    • Another way to easily get in touch with your financial advisor's office to quickly communicate.
  • Phone Calls
    • Your branch team is committed to answering your questions and helping you stay on track to meet your goals. As always, our branch teams are available to take your phone calls and are ready to help you with all your needs, including accessing your cash or making investment adjustments. If your branch team is on the phone helping other clients or is not in the office due to local restrictions, we will automatically connect you with someone else who can meet your needs. And if you're unable to reach them and need to place a trade or get help with account-related questions, you may call our Client Relations line at 800-441-2357.

The virus' impact on the markets has caused many people to worry – and we understand that. It can be hard to watch 5%, 7% and 10% drops happen in one day. But we're here to support you – ready to partner with you and answer any questions you have.

We believe this impact, though large, will end up being temporary, and the markets will bounce back in the long term. While we don't always know what will trigger a bear market, history tells us the recovery can often start as suddenly as the drop itself. And they aren't a reason to abandon your thoughtful strategy.
