During the summer of 1993, I was riding around the backroads of Massachusetts with my new husband when we ran across a charming country church. Out in front was a sign which encouraged readers to be careful how they lived each day, as those days create a life. I was drawn to that simple perspective on a life well-lived.
I consider myself a lifelong learner, though often not in the traditional sense. Growing up on a cattle ranch in southern Oklahoma, I learned the honesty and humility of hard work. We raised our own beef and vegetables and it took all of us to make it run smoothly. When I left home at 18 to pursue a military career, I learned the importance of my family's support while the Army taught me discipline and persistence… Never accept failure and always work to be better. As an officer, I learned the delicate art of leadership and the importance of strategic decision-making.
My career took many turns over the next two decades… A business degree taught me how to analyze and problem-solve, while a masters in counseling psychology and working with troubled children helped me to learn compassion and empathy beyond my imagination.
When I met my husband, Kyle, and we started our family, I learned more about putting others first and the art of self-sacrifice. Our children, Mollie and Drew, taught me how full my heart could be, and also the importance of planning for our futures and their financial security.
When it was time to make the last career move and join Edward Jones in 2004, I brought all of these lessons, values and experiences with me… Work hard, be disciplined, listen with compassion and empathy, and build strategic solutions.
My team places a premium on the relationships we build with our clients and the first-class service they've come to expect from us. Come join us.
