I am passionate about what I do. I am afforded a unique opportunity to partner with great clients to help understand what's most important to them and then partner with them to navigate through a sometimes-complex environment. Working closely with you and your CPA, attorney and other professionals, I can partner with you to determine the most appropriate financial strategy for you and your family.
I joined Edward Jones as a financial advisor in 2006. Prior to Edward Jones, I worked in senior management for a Fortune 100 company from 1998 to 2006, including two years living abroad on an international assignment in the Philippines. I also have experience working for a national CPA firm in both audit and tax.
I attended William Jewell College in Liberty, MO, and graduated in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. In 1998, I earned an MBA in finance and strategic management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. I value continuing my education and earned the CPWA®, CFP®, ChFC® and AAMS™ designations. I was named among the 2022 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors ranking. [Source: Forbes.com - April 2022; data as of 6/30/21]
My team includes three extraordinary branch office administrators, Monique O'Grady, Dotti de St Germain and Christy Nelsen, who provide amazing client service. Our team uses an established process to make each client feel understood, informed, in control and ultimately secure with all aspects of their financial life. I enjoy educating clients and helping them make informed decisions.
I have served the firm in a variety of leadership roles through the years. In 2017, I became the regional leader of region 214 in Arizona.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Sara, and our two children, Jake (21) and Lizzie (19). I keep busy by giving back to the community. I served six years on the board of directors for ICAN, a Chandler nonprofit that provides free comprehensive programs to youth in the Chandler redevelopment area. I also served three years on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club.
