Throughout my life, I've accumulated a range of memories and lessons from a variety of experiences. When I started a local paper delivery route at age 13, I learned the importance of accountability. When I began working at D&W food stores at age 16, I learned the importance of customer service. When I was responsible for all of my living expenses at age 19, including tuition, room and board, and an existing college loan, I learned the fundamentals of finance. These lessons led to the most impactful epiphany of them all when I invested in my first individual retirement account (IRA) at age 22 and realized the future potential of my meager savings toward my long-term goals. This act of investing eventually led to becoming a financial advisor with Edward Jones in 1996 as I sought to introduce this opportunity to others.
Now, more than ever, people recognize that change is constant. That's why establishing a relationship built on trust is imperative to partnering with clients through all life's changes to provide emotional and financial guidance. My Senior Branch Office Administrator, Kathryn Bumgardner, helps me deliver on that personalized service in an effort to exceed expectations. We regularly collaborate with other professionals with whom clients work, including their CPAs, estate attorneys and Medicare and insurance specialists.
