One-size-fits-all works for some investors, but in working with a financial advisor, a wealth of value lies in creating strategies tailored specifically to you. A financial strategy is much more than buying low and selling high. Recent market history – the tech bubble of 2002, the "Great Recession" of '08/'09, the pandemic of 2020, and current inflationary market pressures – has reinforced the need for strong, proactive financial strategies. When you add to those landscapes the complex trade-offs related to your specific financial goals and resources, comfort level with risk, employment and/or business structures, family situation, social or religious considerations, estate and legacy considerations, and much more, the importance of a comprehensive strategy becomes even more important.

To build these strategies, I start by understanding your goals, what is important to you and where you want to be down the road. We then work through an established process to develop tailored strategies and to address potential disruptions along the way. We implement a team approach to work in cooperation with your tax and legal advisors to address the tax and estate implications of our strategy. From there, we partner together for the long-term to implement these strategies, review options and trade-offs, and continue to assess in regular strategy meetings what may lie ahead, assess life changes to help keep you on track and stress-test our strategy.

Born and raised in Washington, KS by a farmer and a small business owner, I have always appreciated the lifestyle of a rural community and the hard work that goes into keeping that lifestyle alive and strong. This foundation led me to a degree in agribusiness at K-State. I began my Edward Jones career in 2012 after working with farmers and business owners as a credit analyst in Topeka, KS. In an effort to get back to a small town and closer to my family, I moved to Smith County in 2013.

My husband, Kyle, farms with his family near Kensington, and we have three young, energetic children together.
