When it comes to our financial goals, we all wish we could predict the future. After a decade working as a television weatherman, I’ve learned that whether we’re talking about finances or the weather, the most we can do is plan for the unexpected. We may not have the power to prevent disaster, but we can have a plan in place that helps ensure we can weather the storm.

As your financial advisor, that’s my job: helping you create, stick to and execute your plan. It all starts with our relationship. I know I can’t do my best work for my clients without really knowing who they are and what they’re working for. Whether they’re going through a major life change like retirement or planning for the next generation or their small business, we believe our clients should feel understood and supported whenever they walk through our doors. That’s why we’re so proud that our clients never have to navigate a call center to talk with their financial team. We know the difference an efficient, friendly, proactive branch team can make in an investor’s life because we work to make that difference every single day.

In fact, that’s why I joined Edward Jones in 2007. I had been a client for a decade and saw the incredible difference my financial advisor made not just on myself and my family, but on my community. Investments helped save my family’s farm in the ‘80s, they fascinated me as a student at Colorado Mesa University and they became my passion as an adult. To further serve my clients, I also received the CFP® certification. Combined with my ability to break down technical terms into easy-to-understand language, a skill I picked up as a weatherman, that means that the cornerstone of my business is providing investors with reliable, understandable financial advice from someone who genuinely cares about their financial goals.

Our Centennial office serves the Denver area, as well as investors across Colorado and the country. Whether they’re right next door or 1,000 miles away, Branch Office Administrator Kathy Lawrence and I pride ourselves in providing the same exceptional service to each of our clients. A former client of 10 years, Kathy understands not just the administrative and financial processes of the office, but the emotions and needs of our clients, making an incredible asset and friend to our client family.
