Before joining Edward Jones as a financial advisor in 2006, I worked in landscaping, which gave me a good foundation for learning to ask the right questions needed to establish someone's goals. Each of my clients had different aspirations, levels of commitment, environmental factors and preferences that determined exactly how the finished product would look. It may be surprising but financial advising is very similar. Each client has their own unique set of factors that, when combined and properly analyzed, lead to a portfolio tailored to help achieve their own unique goals and aspirations.

When a potential client walks into or calls my office, it's important to determine why they're investing. All successful financial strategies are goal-focused and planning-driven. To be successful, we need to know exactly what we're aiming towards and develop a strategy to help keep us on track to meet your goals.

Though many of our investors are preparing to enter retirement, we offer the same level of customer care to all our clients. There are many things that can trip up individual investors, from trying to time the market to not understanding the difference between volatility and permanent loss. It's my job to keep emotion out of your portfolio and help you focus on your goals.

My branch office administrator Mary Lamb does a phenomenal job of keeping up with our clients administratively and communicating with investors and their financial professionals. She's the friendly face and warm welcome our clients are greeted by every time they contact our office, whether they are local or from out of state.

Originally from Jackson, I am a graduate of Michigan State University. I also hold AAMS® and CRPC® professional designations and was named a limited partner with the firm in 2015.

My husband, Chris, and I have two sons, and we love to travel, golf and spend time on Lake Somerset. We both serve on the boards of various charitable organizations in our community.
