As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe it's important to invest my time to understand what you're working toward before you invest your money. It's also important to understand the level of risk you're comfortable accepting when investing so we can balance it with the steps necessary to reach your long-term goals.
I have lived in the central Ohio area my entire life and only live a few hundred yards from the home/family farm I grew up on. My wife, Trinda, who works in engineering for American Electric Power, and I have five children and two grandsons between us.
Prior to pursuing a career as a financial advisor, I spent many years in the manufacturing industry. My manufacturing career began as a production machinist and culminated into being a Site Operations Manager for one of the largest defense manufacturing companies. However, my passion was always in the financial industry and helping people achieve their long-term financial needs. I hold Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations and an insurance license. Early in 2021, I received the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ professional designation. The College for Financial Planning awards the AAMS® designation to individuals who successfully complete a 12-module professional education program, pass a final examination, commit to its code of ethics and agree to pursue continuing education. Topics include in-depth studies of investments and insurance; tax, retirement and estate planning.
I am very active in the community and am currently a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Licking and Perry Counties Board, Licking Memorial Hospital Development Council, Millersport Lions Club, Licking County Chamber of Commerce, Buckeye Lake Region Chamber of Commerce and Buckeye Lake Civic Association. I am vice president of the Lakewood Education Foundation Board. I have also spent many years coaching various youth sports.
