I believe the American Dream is possible. Today, perhaps it requires one to work harder and plan smarter for it. In high school, I juggled two jobs to help my family. In college, I worked full-time to put myself through school. I founded/grew an e-commerce company that I eventually sold 12 years later. My profession in the financial industry began at Morgan Stanley in 2000. In 2010, I joined Edward Jones and have been growing my practice to partner with individuals/families with complex needs. It is my goal that our clients feel understood, informed, in control and secure. Financially speaking, I believe the one thing more unsettling than being poor is to be wealthy and then lose it all. As a child, I experienced this firsthand. In hindsight I am thankful I experienced this as it taught me the value of hard work and the value of a dollar.
There are dreamers and there are planners; the planners make their dreams come true. That is why, when partnering with clients to fulfill their aspirations, our established process considers important factors such as their desired retirement age, desired monthly spending, existing assets, debts and liabilities, Social Security benefits, pension benefits, rental property income, retirement contributions, employer contributions, sale of a business, stock options, real estate assets, potential growth, inflation, inheritance and taxes. We also consider your comfort level to properly assess the appropriate investment strategy to help you navigate through good markets and downturns. We are best suited to work with clients who are 1-15 years away from retirement or are already in retirement but are looking for strategies to maximize their income and/or preserve their wealth. This allows us to spend more time with each client and be thorough with every strategy we implement.
The reason I work as hard as I do at my profession is that I am as dedicated to exceeding the needs of my clients as I am to my own family. I enjoy spending time with my wife, Tracey, and our boys, Nixon and Connor. We enjoy camping throughout California as well as traveling every year to our home away from home in Steamboat Springs, CO.
I greatly look forward to an opportunity to meet with you and help you establish strategies for your financial and personal aspirations.
