I often tell individuals that I help them save so they can live, and live because they saved. What does that mean exactly? Well, do you know how people work all their life saving for things like retirement, and when that time comes, they are unsure if they have permission to start spending? I help create strategic financial strategies so they can retire with confidence, do what they have always wanted to do and leave lasting financial legacies for their families.

Our family moved from Oklahoma to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in the summer of 1999. Since I was old enough to feed the cows, I have been working. At the age of 16, I was hired to sweep floors at the local discount store. I joined the Army at age 19 to be a T.O.W. missile gunner. My college years continued a trend of earning by being a breakfast cook for one of the local sororities. After school, I went on to become an executive for a national communications firm and a client of Edward Jones. I tell you this not to brag but rather to display my understanding of what it takes to be able to save. You first must earn. Whatever form it takes.

As a part of the community, I am serving on the Mayor's Veterans Task Force, the Veterans Business Council, the Chamber of Commerce's Corporate Leadership Council, as Chaplain of VFW Post 8561, and am active with Rotary International. In addition to my service to our clients and community, I started taking on leadership rolls within our firm even prior to becoming a limited partner with Edward Jones. I currently serve on our North Texas hiring team and as the region field training leader.

I also want to introduce you to my team Tracy Plackemeier and Ellen Neff. Tracy is our Senior Branch Office Administer, a limited partner with the firm, and she has over 25 years of experience with Edward Jones. She and her husband relocated from the St. Louis area to Arlington, Texas, in 2001. In addition to her service to our clients, Tracy has served in various regional roles supporting other Edward Jones branch office administrators in the area. Ellen joined us in 2019. She is a retired executive from a large corporate retailer. She serves our office as a Branch Office Administrator and supports several other branches in the region. Our local branch has been blessed to serve North Texas and areas across the country since 1994.
