I was a high school science teacher for 12 years and though some may think that the transition to the financial industry is unrelated to education, it is actually very closely related because I get to teach people every day. I get to make a difference in people's lives by educating them about the best way to reach their long-term financial goals. Many people think that they will never be able to reach their long-term financial goals, but once we sit down together and go through my established process, they soon discover that their goals may be entirely attainable. The feeling I get from helping people become successful in their goals is what drives me in my business.

Another way I get to help people is by working with our local Habitat for Humanity team. Each week I work with Habitat building houses that are going to help people in our local community. Habitat is a creative outlet for me where I get to work with and meet people who take pride in strengthening our community.

I have lived in Ocala, FL, for over a decade and serve businesses and neighbors in and around this community. I am originally from Indiana and, during basketball season, you can probably hear me and my two children, Mark and Lillian, cheering for my alma mater, The Indiana Hoosiers.
