Planting for positive impact: collaborating with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant over 100,000 trees

In Spring 2022, Edward Jones launched a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation to beautify communities and reduce carbon emissions. Since our relationship began, we have planted over 100,000 trees across North America through community plantings, tree distributions and reforestation efforts. These trees will provide ecological benefits, such as CO2 sequestration, air quality improvements and storm water runoff reduction for years to come.

Trees are the most scalable and affordable natural solution to help neutralize the ever-increasing negative side effects of climate change. Trees help to remove pollution and carbon dioxide from our atmosphere, purify our water supply, benefit wildlife, cool cities and improve overall health and well-being.

Edward Jones' first tree planting event was at the Katy Trail outside of St. Louis on Saturday, April 16, 2022. Since then, tree planting events have been held in communities Edward Jones serves throughout the U.S. including Atlanta, Charlotte, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Phoenix/Tempe, Raleigh-Durham, San Diego and St. Louis.

Reforestation projects supported by Edward Jones have been completed in Arizona, California, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina and Texas. Tree distributions have occurred in Missouri.

By partnering with organizations like the Arbor Day Foundation that share our passion and our purpose, we can continue to put our purpose in action and make a positive impact for our clients, colleagues, communities and society.
