Brian M. Youngberg, CFA, is a senior analyst covering energy for Edward Jones. Youngberg also holds responsibility for managing the firm’s Equity Income Buy List, a diversified group of the firm’s top dividend-paying stocks.
Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2000, Youngberg was a vice president with Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co. in Chicago, where he worked in the Global Power Group. Before joining Duff & Phelps in 1996, he was a corporate banking officer with two major banks. At Edward Jones, he has twice earned The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” honors and has previously been named by Forbes magazine as one of the “Best Energy Analysts”.
Youngberg, a Chartered Financial Analyst, is a graduate of the University of Nebraska in Omaha and has an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of St. Louis, as well as the 2018 World Gas Conference Financial Advisory Board.
Youngberg has spoken on a variety of topics concerning energy and utilities to numerous groups, including the American Gas Association’s Financial Analysts Conference. He has been quoted on energy topics in various publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Time, BusinessWeek, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune and The Washington Post. In addition, Youngberg has appeared on CNBC, CNN, NBC Nightly News, PBS’ “Nightly Business Report,” BBN, BBC Radio and Bloomberg Television.
