2023 in review

In 2022, we conducted an assessment with our critical internal and external stakeholder groups, including clients, advisors, branch associates, other community members and organizations, suppliers and product partners, as well as regulatory advisors. Our stakeholders' feedback provided us with a set of prioritized focus areas to guide decision-making on strategic objectives, risk management and resource allocations. This page highlights our efforts in the area of Promoting Healthier Futures.

Foundational efforts

An impact on Alzheimer’s

Since 2016, the firm and its associates have raised $45 million for the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. Our continued support of the Alzheimer’s Association® helps to enhance their care and support programs, provide educational materials, fund critical research, and impact early detection.

Finding a Cure in Canada

For the past three years, we have been proud to support The Terry Fox Foundation in Canada. Our contribution of more than 258,000 CAD in 2023, raised through corporate and associate giving, supports the organization’s mission to find a cure for cancer by funding outstanding research.

Planting more trees

In 2022, Edward Jones launched an alliance with the Arbor Day Foundation to strategically plant trees in forest ecosystems of greatest need. Building on the success of the program, in 2023, the firm planted 25,000 trees through reforestation and distribution projects in the U.S.

Golfing for good

Financial Advisor Chris Wolschleger, Howell, MI., organized the 2nd annual Sandy Memorial Golf Outing this year in honor of his mom, Sandy, whom he lost to Alzheimer’s in 2021. Edward Jones associates rallied together with Chris and the community to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Curing cancer, fast

Branch Office Administrator Alesha Stein, Seattle, Wash., and other Edward Jones colleagues, took part in The Fred Hutch Obliteride, a bike ride and 5K that benefits the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Washington state, raising funds to help advance cancer prevention, detection, treatment and cures.

Laughs for love

Becky Anderson, Financial Advisor in Grand Rapids, MN, and her entire Region 13 are partnering with Gilda’s Club for Laugh Fest. Founded in honor of Gilda Radner, it’s about emotional health (laughter for the health of it) and supporting families who are in a cancer or grief journey. Becky shares: “We live life very deeply and personally with the families we work with. This helps us serve them in a different way, beyond the numbers.”

A spirit of caring

“They say home is where you choose to live, and Tampa is my home. I love it here.” This sentiment is common among the connections Edward Jones associates have with their communities, but it’s particularly powerful for Financial Advisor Jasmine Butler.
