As a financial advisor with a firm that puts clients first, I strive to not only do that, but also get to know you along the way. My background is filled with meaningful relationships that have helped me get through life so far.

I am originally from Pella, Iowa, with a background filled with music. My family is musical which led me to a bachelor's in music education from the University of Northern Iowa. From there, I married my wife, Erin, moved to Liberty and started my career within about a week. As the orchestra director at Liberty Middle School for five years, I was able to earn my master's degree from UMKC. Once that was all said and done, I decided to move my education background into the world of finance by joining Edward Jones in 2007. Here I am today with two boys, a dog and years of market cycles that have taught me a lot.

My wife and I follow our boys on the baseball field throughout most of the warm weather. When it is not baseball season, I try and sneak away to my shop and work on my latest woodworking project. If there is time left, we spend it working on our house and yard to try and keep up with the chores of living in the Midwest.

Life is unpredictable, as is the journey we are all on to a financial goal. If my experience in life has taught me anything, it is to work hard and get help and guidance before it is too late.
