Change. It is the one constant in our lives. On a personal level, I understand change and the impact it can have on your personal and financial future. As a financial advisor, my goal is to understand what is most important to you and to build a financial strategy that adapts to change.
I began my professional career as a finance specialist with the United States Army. As such, I was responsible for the accounting, safeguarding and movement of $1.9 billion in U.S. currency throughout the Iraq theater of operations. After eight years of service, I decided to attend law school at the University of Virginia. As an attorney, I clerked for the Honorable Charles S. Russell of the Virginia Supreme Court and practiced business litigation in Virginia and Washington D.C., protecting businesses’ financial assets.
Family time, however, is always my priority. After seven years of legal practice, I realized I was not meeting my family goals. It was then a good friend and fellow Edward Jones financial advisor introduced me to the opportunity and “change” that impacted our lives for the better.
It is this experience I bring every day to guide individuals, families and business owners through the most important financial decisions of their lives. I partner with my clients to identify their goals and create custom strategies to help them organize, grow and protect their wealth. And, more importantly, navigate the change that will inevitably impact their personal and financial lives. Ultimately, I help each client plan for the expected and prepare for the unexpected.
My wife and I, along with our three children, live in Midlothian, Virginia. We love to take road trips to visit the many historical sites found in Virginia and the surrounding states. My son and I are also avid runners and we have competed in some of Virginia’s best races, including the Monument Avenue 10k, Shamrock Half-Marathon and the Fredericksburg Historic Half-Marathon. When I am not spending time with my family, I can be found chasing our country’s greatest vistas with my camera in hand. In 2021, I was named the International Photography Association’s Non-Professional Event Photographer of the Year.
