Julie Petrera

As a senior strategist for client needs, Julie is responsible for leading Canada's advice and guidance team, developing impactful  strategies and providing powerful insights to help meet the needs of Canadians and drive them towards their financial goals.

Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2021, Julie worked at Dundee Wealth and MD Financial in advice, supervision, practice management and strategy, bringing 20 years' experience working in the financial industry.

She also works with professionals pursuing industry education and designations through FP Canada, the Schulich School of Business, and the CISI in the U.K., to name a few.

Julie also authors articles providing advice for financial professionals and everyday Canadians through Wealth Professional, Globe Advisor, The Globe and Mail, the Financial Post and Canadian MoneySaver, and regularly represents Edward Jones in the media on BNN Bloomberg, Global News, CP24, CTV and CBC radio.

Julie earned her bachelor's degree from The University of Western Ontario, her MBA from Dalhousie University and a certificate in corporate communication from the University of Ottawa. Julie holds the CFP® and CIM® certifications and is a fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI). Julie was nominated for an IIAC Top Under 40 award in the investment industry in 2019.

When Julie is not working, she is probably running, spinning or travelling. Her favorite place to travel to is Italy, where she lived with her husband for several years.
