Dave Heger

Dave Heger is a Senior Analyst on the SMA Portfolio Management Team, where he is responsible for coverage of the communication services and real estate sectors for the firm's proprietary SMA strategies.  Prior to joining the SMA Portfolio Management Team, Dave served as the analyst covering stocks in the communication services sector and portions of the technology sector for Securities Research.

Dave joined the Securities Research team in 2012 and has covered communication services and technology for Edward Jones. Prior to joining Edward Jones, Dave was a senior equity analyst following the technology sector at Segall Bryant & Hamill Investment Counsel and an assistant portfolio manager and equity analyst at Kennedy Capital Management. He also served as an associate vice president and research analyst following communications equipment and services at A.G. Edward & Sons and worked for several years in network planning, network engineering and sales support roles in the telecommunications industry.

Dave has been quoted and published in various publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and Barron's and has appeared on CNBC and the National Business Report on PBS.

Dave graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s of engineering degree with a concentration in civil engineering. He also received an MBA with a major in finance from Indiana University.

Dave is a CFA® charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute and the St. Louis Society of Chartered Financial Analysts.
