ST. LOUIS, Mo., Aug. 31, 2026 — Edward Jones and Duke University Athletics marked the start of their four-year athletics partnership, first announced in June, which named Edward Jones the Official Wealth Management Partner of Duke Basketball. The partnership – which will focus on financial education and student-athlete support – came to life on Aug. 31, when the firm's logo was unveiled on the basketball court at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The on-court logo is the first of many elements in the partnership, which runs through 2030. Along with its support of the university’s basketball programs, Edward Jones has been designated a Champion Partner of Duke Athletics, and the firm's name will appear on the Duke Champions Club Presented by Edward Jones.
Beginning with the 2027-28 season, Edward Jones will hold wealth management category exclusivity for Duke Basketball, and the firm will introduce financial education workshops for Duke student-athletes.
“Today’s student-athletes are navigating an entirely new financial landscape, and we want them to know they have a trusted partner in Edward Jones,” said Hema Widhani, Principal and Chief Brand, Experience and Marketing Officer at Edward Jones. “Through this partnership, we’re helping equip student-athletes with tools and insights that can help them manage their financial futures, empowering them to succeed both during their time at Duke and long after. We're proud to support them alongside a university and basketball program with a storied history of developing leaders on and off the court.”
In addition to financial education programming, the partnership includes custom content collaborations featuring Duke student-athletes and support across Duke Athletics. These efforts will create meaningful connections with the Duke community while highlighting the experiences and aspirations of student-athletes.
“Edward Jones has approached this partnership with genuine curiosity about what our students and our department need most,” said Nina King, Duke's Vice President and King-Compton Families Director of Athletics. “The breadth of this relationship says a lot about their desire to connect with our community, and the investment in our student-athletes make it clear that Edward Jones will be a meaningful partner with Duke Athletics for years to come.”
The partnership's presence will come to life in Cameron Indoor Stadium through a variety of fan-facing experiences and content that celebrates Duke's rich legacy while highlighting the educational opportunities for student-athletes. With deep respect for the traditions that make Duke Basketball a multigenerational passion for so many families, Edward Jones aims to create connections that honor those moments while supporting the next generation of students and student-athletes.
Additional details on future activations will be shared as the season progresses.
