New convening space on Capitol Hill reinforces Edward Jones's decades-long commitment to policy engagement, financial education, and advocacy for individual investors across America

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Edward Jones today announced the opening of its new Town Square, a 4,811 square-foot townhome located in the Stanton Park area of Capitol Hill, deepening the firm's presence in the nation's capital and reinforcing its long-standing commitment to policy engagement, financial education and advocacy on behalf of the millions of clients, families and communities it serves.

The New Edward Jones Town Square

The firm's motivation is anchored in its purpose: to partner for positive impact, improving the lives of clients and colleagues, and bettering communities and society. As Edward Jones continues to champion "Financial Fulfillment" for more Americans, the Town Square serves as the physical embodiment of that mission.

The space serves as the firm's dedicated hub for federal government relations activities and as a convening center for policymakers, business leaders, nonprofit organizations, academics, and community stakeholders focused on expanding financial opportunity for Americans.

The Town Square is designed to host forums, policy convenings, financial education events, and community discussions centered on three core themes:

  • Retirement security: advancing policies that help Americans prepare for long-term financial stability
  • Wealth building: creating pathways to financial growth for individuals, families, and communities
  • Financial resilience: strengthening the capacity of Americans to weather economic challenges

Bringing client conversations to policymakers

For more than 40 years, Edward Jones has worked with policymakers, regulators, industry leaders and community organizations to advance policies that help people prepare for retirement, build wealth and strengthen financial resilience. As the firm continues to champion Financial Fulfillment for more Americans, the Town Square will serve as a convening space where leaders from across sectors can come together to address the opportunities and challenges shaping people's financial lives.

"The issues that matter most to our clients often extend beyond their portfolios," said Andy Blocker, Principal and Head of Policy, Regulatory and Government Relations at Edward Jones. "They are shaped by access to trusted advice, opportunities to build financial resilience, and policies that help individuals, families and communities thrive. Our Town Square creates a place where policymakers, business leaders and community stakeholders can come together to advance solutions that expand financial opportunity and support Financial Fulfillment for more Americans."

The new home for Edward Jones' federal government relations team

The location will serve as the home of Edward Jones’ federal government relations activities and provide dedicated space for engagement with members of Congress, regulators, policymakers, community leaders and strategic partners. It will also support the firm’s Grassroots Task Force, the firm's voice for the individual investor in the nation's capital.

The Task Force marked its 40th anniversary in 2025 as the securities industry's only volunteer advocacy organization that travels to Washington D.C. to speak on policy issues of importance to individual investors. It is made up of more than 100 financial advisors and client support team professionals from all 50 states who help bring client perspectives into policy conversations.

Building on a century of trust

For more than 100 years, Edward Jones has built trust through lasting relationships and a commitment to helping individuals, families and business owners achieve their financial goals. The opening of the Town Square extends that commitment into the nation’s capital by creating a place to advance the policies, partnerships and conversations that can help expand financial opportunity and Financial Fulfillment for generations to come.
