Kristen Steffens

Edward Jones Principal Kristen Steffens leads the firm's investment management capabilities. This area of the firm provides thought leadership and asset management services to transform market and investment complexity into opportunities for our clients to achieve their goals. Kristen co-chairs the firm's Investment Policy Committee, which is responsible for governing the firm's investment guidance and adherence to our investment philosophy. She also serves as Chair of the Advisory Investment Committee, which is responsible for the investment oversight of Edward Jones Advisory Solutions®, Bridge Builder Mutual Funds and Edward Jones Money Market Fund.

Prior to her current role, Kristen led asset allocation, investment risk, and portfolio optimization capabilities within investment management. Collectively, these teams exist to provide guidance on strategic and opportunistic asset allocation opportunities for client portfolios; oversight on key investment risk attributes and positioning of portfolios; and build and manage customized client portfolios. Kristen also previously led the Portfolio Solutions team, responsible for the portfolio positioning and performance results of Edward Jones Advisory Solutions® and Bridge Builder Mutual Funds. Kristen became an Edward Jones principal in January 2019.

Kristen joined the firm in 2016, coming to the firm with 12 years' experience in the financial services industry, with an expertise in institutional asset management. Her background includes work as an investment consultant and investment strategist in Chicago, Ill., and associate portfolio manager in New York City.

She earned a bachelor's degree in finance and business management from The University of Dayton in Ohio and a master's degree in finance from London Business School in London, England. She is a CFA® charter holder, a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis, and a CFP® professional.

Kristen currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Parents as Teachers National Center and is a member of the Audit and Investment Committee.

Kristen and her husband, Matt, have two daughters, Charley and Morgan, and currently reside in St. Louis, MO.
