We’re enhancing economic mobility with a suite of programs and external partnerships that can help strengthen the financial futures of households affected by systemic inequities.

Supporting small businesses

Our financial advisors, like Norm Cauntay in Long Beach, CA, are making it easy for business owners to create workplace retirement plans for their employees.

Advocating for caregivers

In December, Edward Jones Financial Advisor Chad Williams of Ashburn, VA, testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions during a hearing focused on expanding access to retirement savings opportunities for workers. In addition to speaking in support of policies that can help all Americans begin saving earlier, he underscored the importance of creating additional savings opportunities for caregivers. Williams shared his personal experience as a caregiver to his aging parents while raising two young children and spoke about the importance of providing retirement security tools for caregivers who make great personal and professional sacrifices that limit their ability to contribute to their own retirement security.

Keeping up
with the Pulse of North America

In 2025, we once again conducted our Pulse of North America survey* to better understand the needs, wants and wishes of modern investors — and how those factors shape their picture of financial fulfillment. The responses showed that most people believe a financially fulfilled life is within reach. However, with the rising cost of living, healthcare and housing, many say they feel like they’re racing to keep up. Investors say true financial freedom means they’re not constantly worrying about bills. They’re willing to cut back on spending and aggressively pay down debt if it brings them closer to financial confidence.
