Why We Walk: End Alzheimer's Video Transcript

At Edward Jones, we live and work in the communities we serve and want to make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors. Alzheimer’s disease has a significant impact on individuals, family, friends and community. That’s why Edward Jones is proud to support the Alzheimer’s Association® as the National Presenting Sponsor of Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® in more than 630 communities.

Today more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's. But that number could rise as high as 16 million by 2050. It's the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. and the only disease among the top 10 causes that can't be prevented, cured or even slowed.

Walk with us

Walk to End Alzheimer's looked different in 2020 because of the pandemic, but it didn't keep us from supporting a cause that's important to us, our clients and many others. This year we walked individually or with our family members in our neighborhoods. We kicked off the walk season with a special virtual opening ceremony that we can view here.

Be sure to join us in 2021 as we continue another five years of our strategic alliance with the Alzheimer's Association. You can join our team, captain your own team or walk as an individual at a Walk to End Alzheimer's event in your community. You'll be doing your part to help support the Alzheimer's Association in its mission to eliminate this disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
