Throughout my life, helping others has been an integral part of who I am. I chose a career in financial services because I believed I could make a difference in the lives of families in my community, and I joined Edward Jones in 2014 because I discovered that their core values aligned with mine.
My ideal clients are those who want to carefully and thoughtfully work toward financial goals that range from preparing for or living in retirement, to sending a child/children to college, or estate considerations. No two scenarios are the same, and neither are the approaches to developing the strategies for achieving those goals.
I have lived in Southern Illinois my entire life and have a passion for helping people in the Mt Vernon and surrounding communities. This is where my family has planted our roots. My hobbies include spending time with my family, cooking, golf, fishing and traveling. I believe that family is the most important aspect of life.
Along with raising our three daughters, my wife, Teri Schumm, also works in my office as a part-time branch office administrator.
Outside of the office, I am an active member of the community, serving as a member of the Rend Lake College Foundation Board, the United Way Board and the Rome Grade School Board. I have also been a member of the Mt Vernon Rotary Club since 2011.
I'm inspired every single day by the people I'm so lucky to work with and meet. My branch office administrator, Jean Foster, and I strive each day to provide the most ideal client experience that we can. We are so fortunate to be able to serve the Jefferson County community and are eager to help more people.
While the road may not always be easy, you can be assured that I am by your side and on your team. I hope to become a trusted partner and lifelong friend to every person who walks through my door.
