I began my career as a financial advisor with Edward Jones in the fall of 2008, during the financial crisis. It was great proving ground for Edward Jones' philosophy of putting clients' needs first. My training at Edward Jones gave me the knowledge I needed to guide my clients through those tough times. After 10 years away from the firm, I was recruited back as a seasoned professional holding the CFP® designation.
The focus of my practice is retirement preparation and estate considerations; however, I also enjoy helping clients navigate through divorce and late career job loss. This is taking care of the here and now and very practically finding solutions to meet immediate needs as well as preparation for the future. I begin by creating a report for my clients to determine their wants, needs and available assets. Then, using a practical approach, we discuss available options and methods. I eventually help them implement financial strategies tailored to their specific goals and monitor their situations continuously to keep them on track.
Many people are reluctant to go through this process for fear that they have made mistakes that can't be fixed. I strive to take the fear out of retirement preparation and to empower my clients to make sound financial decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
Outside the office, I am a member of Leadership Richardson's Alumni Association and Richardson East Rotary. I also serve on the board and on the Finance Committee of Network of Community Ministries and am involved with the Care Ministry of my church.
While we're originally from Louisiana, three generations of my family now make DFW their home. I live in Little Elm on Lake Lewisville where I enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking most every chance I get. I have two grown sons. My younger son is a physics major at UTD. My older son, a UNT graduate, makes his home in Boulder, CO.
Give me a call and let's get started finding practical solutions to meet your needs.
