Growing up in Kansas, I graduated from Kansas State University with dual degrees in civil engineering and business administration. I enjoyed an 18-year career with ARCO in the pipeline business which ultimately landed me and my family in Alaska. I joined Edward Jones in 1997 as a financial advisor right here in Anchorage. I currently hold the CFP® and AAMS® designations.
My interest in investments and desire to remain in Alaska were the primary reasons for me to seek out a career with Edward Jones. What I discovered as I launched my business is that the opportunity to serve clients and truly make a meaningful difference in their lives is by far the most rewarding part of this career.
As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe it’s important to invest my time to understand what you’re working toward before you invest your money. It's also important to understand the level of risk you're comfortable accepting when investing so we can balance it with the steps necessary to reach your long-term goals.
My primary clients are those already established on their path of planning for retirement or living in retirement. Effectively planning for retirement can involve a variety of accounts and investments, including IRAs, employer-sponsored retirement plans (e.g., 401(k)), annuities, equities, mutual funds and insurance. I can help you develop a strategy for working toward your retirement goals.
Outside of the office, my wife, Bobbi, and I love traveling and finding great restaurants wherever we go. We love seeing our two children and grandson, all of whom live in Alaska. Beautiful outdoor Alaska is why I fell in love with this state and I particularly enjoy camping, hiking, hunting, fishing and golf.
