As a 5th generation farmer, I grew up working daily with my family in our orchard. During lunch break, one topic my grandfather and I never ceased to talk about was the stock market. Not only did it become a passion of mine, but also something that connected me to my family.

In 2002, I joined the Edward Jones family as a financial advisor. I am proud to represent the firm's family centered values; the mission and vision complement my personal values of integrity, hard work and the importance of mutually respectable and trustworthy relationships.

As a financial advisor, I have held various leadership positions, including field trainer leader, mentor, level trainer and more. In 2007, I received my AAMS® professional designation. The College for Financial Planning awards this to those who complete a 12-module professional education program, pass a final examination, commit to its code of ethics and to pursuing continuing education.

My office administrators, Cheryl Swenson and Kassadee Ifft, and I strive to be the most professional financial services team in our community. We work with clients who have mutual respect for us and value our advice. We serve with integrity, in an atmosphere of confidence, knowledge and comfort that creates new and generational relationships. We focus on what is most important to you. Whether it's paying for education, supporting family or giving to causes you care about – whatever you dream about doing in life – my team and I will work hard to understand your story. Together, we create goals and partner together over the long term to help you achieve them.

I was born and raised in Kent City, MI and graduated from Kent City High School. I attended GRCC and GVSU, graduating with degrees in business admin and finance. My wife, Barb, and I married in 1999. We have two children, Kenneth and Lauren, and a sweet dog, Bo. Together, we enjoy outdoor sports, traveling and supporting our church community.

I have been consistently guided by values of faith, family and community. I am an active member of the River Valley Chamber of Commerce and serve on the board of the Fremont Area Community Foundation. In the past, I have served as president of the Rotary Club of Newaygo, as trustee on the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital Board and as a board member of True North.

Together, we can make a difference – We can't wait to meet you!
