My mom worked longer than she wanted to and now has less security than she should because no one took the time to understand her needs and fears when my dad passed away. I was 19 and a sophomore in college. Being a family of modest means, my parents did not know much about investing. Not knowing who to turn to or who to trust, my mom put the insurance proceeds in the bank and spent them over time.

This experience shaped me as a person and is one of the reasons I am a financial advisor. I don't want to see others make the mistakes my mom made. I am driven to have a significant and meaningful impact on the lives of my clients and help them achieve the things that are most important to them.

I'm from Florida, but went to Loras College in Dubuque, IA. After graduation, I moved to Madison and spent 15 years in textbook publishing. While education remained important to me, textbook publishing didn't keep my interest, so I combined my interest in helping others with my passion for finance and became a financial advisor.

My focus is on understanding, guiding and advising my clients through the various transition points in their lives, including births and deaths; marriage and divorce; starting a new job or ending a career. I want to be at their side the whole time.

The number four represents my 4Fs: faith, family, finance and football! It is my wife's favorite number, and represents how many siblings I have, my place amongst them, how many children I have and how many stepchildren I have.

I have been serving Pardeeville since 2007. I am involved with the PABA, the Friends of the Angie W. Cox Library and the Pardeeville Curling Club.
