Some of the best financial advice I have received was given to me by my mother when I was in high school. She said, "Whatever you do, don't do what I've done. As soon as you get your first job, you need to save and invest your money. I promise you'll be amazed at what it will turn into." As a single mother, she didn't have the resources to prove to me this theory would work; but she did create a desire to know more about investing, learn from her mistakes and make her proud. Decades later, I now get the opportunity to pass some of that wisdom on to my clients and their kids.
I have spent my last 18 years with Edward Jones working to make a positive impact in the lives of individual investors and business owners. I do this by helping to organize, build, protect and eventually transfer wealth. While the financial world can be complex at times, we do our best to simplify the process for clients and deliver on an ideal client experience.
I'm assisted in these efforts by an amazing team of dedicated branch office administrators. Diane Edgecomb brings 21 years of experience to the office and Melissa Nielson brings eight years of experience. Our team uses an established 5 step process to make each client feel understood, informed, in control and ultimately secure in all aspects of their financial life. There is nothing we enjoy more than helping our clients throughout all the stages of their lives.
Outside the office, I've been married to my wife, Kari, for 28 years and we have four kids – Mattie (18), Mark (20), Luke (22) and John (24). When I'm not at work, you'll probably find me watching sporting events or golfing as much as possible.
