I grew up on a small farm and ranch in New Mexico. I love the land and the outdoors, but it was an extremely difficult way to make a living. I learned the value of hard work, and how to get through tough times.
I was taking a marketing class in college, and we had a real-life investment simulation. I ended up winning the class award for making the most money, and I was hooked. I immediately opened an account and started buying mutual funds. In graduate school, I did a feasibility study on opening a financial planning practice for my final thesis. As part of my research I interviewed the local Edward Jones advisor, and from that moment on, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
I am now serving the financial needs of multiple generations of families who are serious, long-term investors focused on building long-term wealth. I do this through a goals-based approach. It all starts with really getting to know you and finding out what is truly important to you and your family. I especially enjoy working with small business owners as well as clients who have lost a spouse and look to me for guidance.
I have been with Edward Jones in Graham, TX, since 1999. During that time, I have been very involved in leading, coaching and mentoring other financial advisors. Since 2014, I have served as a regional leader, leading more than 50 financial advisors in rural West Texas and Southwestern Oklahoma. I was named a limited partner in 2007 and a general partner in 2017.
I am married to my college sweetheart, Jerre. We have two grown daughters, Allison and Hayley. Our family is actively involved in rodeo. In fact, all four of us attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX, where we competed on the rodeo team. I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in agriculture economics and then followed that up with an MBA in finance. I am passionate about wellness and fitness, and still love to compete at rodeos every chance I get.
