I'm grateful that I was raised by parents that taught me to work hard, be charitable, avoid unnecessary debt and save money in the bank. However, investing in markets was a more foreign concept. Now, one of my favorites parts about being a financial advisor is helping explain complex topics in simple and actionable terms. My wife, four kids, and I moved from Arizona to Northern Nevada when I joined Edward Jones in 2013. Up to that time, I worked primarily in agriculture research. Our family enjoys growing a large pumpkin patch every year and raising animals.
I know that major life events such as planning for retirement, losing a loved one, going through a divorce or receiving an inheritance can be intimidating and confusing. I'll take the time to understand your investment experience and personal values so I can focus on what’s important to you. I'll use our established process to review your finances and advise you on how to position your financial resources to help reach your goals. My team and I will partner with you over the long term to implement the strategy we designed together. I love seeing individuals and families realize that their goals are within reach and feeling that they are in control of their finances.
I'm grateful that my formal education taught me to balance financial knowledge with empathy when giving advice. I hold a bachelor's degree in business from Northern Arizona University and a master's degree in behavioral economics from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I also received the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ professional designation in 2018. The College for Financial Planning awards the AAMS® designation to individuals who successfully complete a 12-module professional education program, pass a final examination, commit to its code of ethics and agree to pursue continuing education.
