I became a financial advisor because of my parents. My father’s early disability and death made me realize that ordinary people like my parents needed trusted advice and guidance. I wanted to help others avoid what my family went through. I feel fortunate to help others like my mother prepare for their life events.

My background has always been in finance. Prior to joining Edward Jones in 1999, I was the controller for Baylor Medical Center at Ellis County. I came to Edward Jones because I realized my true passion lies in personal finance and helping others.

I believe it is important to develop personal relationships based on a deep understanding of my clients’ unique financial needs. Working closely together to identify, plan and meet your short-term needs and long-term goals. This can also involve CPAs, attorneys and other professionals to deliver the most appropriate financial strategy.

Gwen Lents, my senior branch office administrator, and I have worked together for over 16 years. We believe in a team approach, delivering highly personalized service in order to care for the needs of our clients. This approach has successfully built relationships that span decades and generations!

Teaching is another passion of mine, whether it is teaching new advisors or my clients. I have served Edward Jones in a variety of volunteer roles, including as a mentor and trainer, providing leadership and guidance to trainees and financial advisors, visiting veteran to financial advisor trainees and field trainer leader. I have also served as our culture of compliance leader for several years.

I am originally from Katy, TX but Grand Prairie has been my home since 1990. I graduated with an accounting degree from Texas Tech University where I played college level softball. I am a member of the Grand Prairie Host Lions Club and am a past president of Soroptimist International of Grand Prairie. I love spending time with my dog, Jax, traveling with my mother and going to my cabin in Northwest Arkansas.
