Following in my dad's footsteps, I started my career with Edward Jones in 1994, opening the office in Sturgeon Bay, WI. I moved home to Kearney, NE in 1996 and became the third financial advisor in Kearney – today we have nine.
We are inspired by taking time to truly understand what is important to our clients. We use an established process to help achieve financial goals, and we enjoy partnering with our clients by meeting regularly and making sure we are on track. We also use a team approach. In addition to working with your legal and tax professionals, the Edward Jones home office and my senior Branch Office Administrator, Tonya Skiles, all work with me on behalf of our clients. Tonya and I have worked together as a team since 1996.
I have served on many boards in our community, including the Museum of Nebraska Art, Good Samaritan Hospital, KCHS Foundation, the City of Kearney Planning Commission, the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment. I also volunteer at my firm in many capacities, including serving as the national program leader for the Ted Jones Coaching Program.
I attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated with a bachelor's degree in English. My wife, Jeni, and I were married in 1998. Jeni is a graduate of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, and is a professional artist. We also have three wonderful daughters – Claire, Samantha and Mia. We love to spend time as a family cooking, reading, watching movies and traveling.
