Growing up, I watched my parents turn modest savings into a tool of wealth creation by choosing investments they were comfortable with and holding on to them for the long haul. Eventually, as a husband and father, I used similar principles as the bedrock to building and achieving our family’s dreams of home ownership, college education for our three children and retirement security. The lessons l learned about risk and return over the past three decades formed the cornerstone of my investment philosophy and now serve as the fundamentals upon which I proudly serve clients today.
I have over 34 years of combined experience and leadership in both business and education. Following a successful 14 years in investment real estate finance, I spent the next 20 years in secondary education as a business and finance instructor, coach, athletic director and assistant principal. Though I fully enjoyed educating students in the subjects of economics, finance and investment, I had a desire to return to the world of finance and put my lifetime of experience and knowledge to practice for others. After our children finished college, my wife and I forged plans for our next chapter and the opportunity to serve our community both professionally and personally. My passion for investing and an aspiration to help others secure their own financial future led me to become a licensed financial advisor. I chose Edward Jones because the firm truly embodies what I value – serving the needs of serious, long-term savers and investors through personal relationships from a branch office I could call my own.
I proudly serve as a trusted financial advisor to clients in every stage of their investment journey. I create strategies to help my clients organize, grow, protect and transfer accumulated wealth, using an established 5-step process which focuses on knowing what is most important to the client and partnering with them over their lives to help keep them on track.
