One of my greatest pleasures is seeing my clients realize their goals. These goals are often going on a dream trip, creating a family legacy, or simply spending more time with their children and grandchildren.
While finishing my degree at Georgetown Law, I interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission. It was there that I developed my skill set and process for complex problem solving. I have found my skill set works best for successful professionals, nonprofit organizations and high net worth individuals. My diverse background allows me to take a holistic approach to designing custom portfolios for my clients, often working in concert with attorneys and tax preparers. I often work with complex, multi-generational wealth transfer strategies and enjoy the challenge of simplifying and tailoring them for my clients to help them achieve their goals.
In recognition of my work, I have been honored for 15 consecutive years to attend our Managing Partners Conference, which recognizes 400 of the top branch teams within our firm of over 18,000-plus financial advisors.
My community involvement includes participating as a board member of the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon and of the White Bird Performing Arts. I assist with the Ed and Billy Brog Family Foundation, the Blue Mountain Humane Society and my local Rotary Club's Youth Exchange Program.
My work history includes the U.S. Navy from 1979 to 1992; Securities and Exchange Commission,1994-1995 and Edward Jones, 1995-present.
Education History: The George Washington University, 1984-1988; magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kapa; master's program (incomplete) Exeter College, Oxford; and Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, DC, 1992-1995.
I also hold the AAMS™ designation. The College for Financial Planning awards the AAMS™ designation to individuals who successfully complete a 12-module professional education program, pass a final examination, commit to its code of ethics and agree to pursue continuing education.
