In 2003, I had the opportunity to transition into a career at Edward Jones and move back to the neighborhood that my wife and I grew up in. This afforded me the opportunity to raise our kids in the same area and go to the same schools that we did, as well as their grandparents and great grandparents! I found the opportunity through a friend who volunteered with me in Kiwanis and was an Edward Jones financial advisor. He thought I would be a great candidate for joining the firm.
He was right! What I love most about being a financial advisor is serving people in a meaningful way and helping them strategically plan for what is important to them. In 2014, I continued my education by earning the CFP® certification in order to better serve my clients. I have found that making connections with individuals is the most important way to help those in need. Each client is unique, so every decision I make is about what is best for their situation.
I am able to give such personalized advice and care with the help of my branch office administrator, Lisa Duval. She is a professional in her own right and takes care of all the administrative tasks with excellence. When working with her, clients can expect that tasks will be done quickly and correctly the first time. Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her corgi, Roxy.
When not volunteering, I am spending time with family. I have been married to my wife, Kristi, for over 30 years, and we have two children – one is serving in the US Marine Corp, and my daughter is the mother of our two grandsons. I have a wide variety of hobbies; I study jazz piano and play bass with the Kareem Kandi World Orchestra, and I support my wife as she performs musically at local coffee shops and restaurants. I am an avid gardener and even can my home-grown veggies and sauces. I make wine, beer, cider and cheese!
