My 5th grade teacher, Mr. Morrison, provided my first exposure to risk management and wealth creation. While studying the Industrial Revolution, Mr. Morrison created an investment competition. Each student was responsible for investing money into emerging technologies of that era. Railroads, coal, iron and oil just to name a few. Rather than invest all at once, I kept some money available... Just in case. When a surprise “tax” was announced, I was the only student with enough money to stay solvent. Mr. Morrison presented me with a certificate in front of the entire school. Needless to say, that experience piqued my interest in protecting wealth and planning for retirement.
The skills that helped me navigate Mr. Morrison’s contest many (many) years ago have allowed me to serve clients effectively for the last 22 years. After graduating from UCLA, I established my practice in Hermosa Beach. In 2016, I was named a general partner with Edward Jones. I currently hold the CFP® certification and the ChFC®, AAMS® and CLU® designations.
My team includes an extraordinary branch office administrator, Jackie Noorian. Jackie has over 25 years of financial service industry experience. Our team uses an established 5-step process to make each client feel understood, informed and secure with all aspects of their financial life. We strive to educate clients and help them align their wealth with their priorities.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Kate, and our two daughters, Hayden and Sydney. From time to time, you can find me gasping for breath on the soccer field, struggling to stay afloat on a surfboard or ruining a good walk attempting to golf.
