I grew up in the small town of Beeville, Texas, with a father who worked on offshore oil rigs and a stay-at-home mother who had a small business painting signs. I learned from my parents' business sense as they worked a plan to acquire their first rental home, renovate it themselves and build on from there.
We may not have had much excess, but growing up in a hardworking, blue collar, small town instilled in me an unwavering work ethic and showed me the importance of family, faith and community. Being raised in a small town where helping others is a way of life allowed me to realize my passion for making positive impacts in the lives of others. It also made me the man, husband, father and friend I am today.
I began my career path at my Grandpa's business, Pendley's Appliance, working throughout high school before heading on to Texas A&M-Kingsville where I would earn my business degree and meet my wife, Cari. As my final year of college progressed, I realized that financial services would be my path, as it allowed me to make a career out of my passion for helping others.
I began my career at Edward Jones in 2007 and became a limited partner with them in 2015. Since then, I have been able to help countless families. Most share a similar story; they came from dirt in rural Texas and have financially achieved more than they ever thought possible. For them, they need more than just investment advice – they need a fully integrated personalized approach. It has been the perfect fit for my family, my clients and my values.
Today, my wife, Cari, and I have two children, Micah and Mikayla. We love to travel and have different experiences, so our children understand how blessed and fortunate we truly are as a family. When I do have some quiet time, I’m an avid reader and passionate about strength training and craft beer (not necessarily in that order).
