WHERE I COME FROM
All four of my grandparents immigrated through Ellis Island, my maternal grandmother alone, at age 15. My paternal grandmother arrived here with a level of education that few working-class women had achieved at that time. My dad was a disabled World War II veteran and retired professor, my mom a mother to eight, and the entire neighborhood, as well as a key advocate for the rights of the disabled. My big brother, Joseph, who had Down's Syndrome, was among them. Both my parents were lifelong learners and engaged citizens, and they gave me the freedom and the nudge to chase my own dreams. I have encouraged my two adult children to excel and do the same. I also really enjoy helping my clients define their dreams and develop financial strategies to achieve them.
WHAT I DO
I'm an experienced financial advisor, a conscientious listener and strategic thinker. I listen to my clients, hear about their goals and aspirations, and together, we forge a plan for the financial component of those dreams. I build personally tailored financial strategies, designed to help clients grow and manage their wealth, retirement savings, investment income, education funding, socially conscious "ESG" investment concerns, special needs financial considerations, charitable giving plans and legacy vision.
ARE WE THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU
We have a process called discovery, involving an initial phone consultation to first get to know you and what's most important to you. Based on that structured conversation, we can see if we match up, and if not, I can recommend someone in our network to assist you with your financial goals. Our intention is to support you, with sound financial guidance, to further your American dream.
I'm an academic nerd with two lovely grown children, married to an incredible guy and surrounded, among my plants, by our numerous rescue dogs. I have a long history of community volunteering and currently focus my efforts on domestic abuse survivors and physically disabled workers in the workforce. I've been a champion and ally for inclusion, serving on my firm's DEI Collaborative and in positions supporting diverse recruiting, hiring, training and retention. My branch also assists with our firm's sponsorship of the Walk to End Alzheimer's, the Parkinson's Day of Movement and our regional support efforts for Dress for Success.
