In my 20-year professional career before coming to Edward Jones, I was fortunate to travel internationally. In 1997 I took a side trip to visit family in Serbia. They had been displaced from their former home in Bosnia because of the civil war there – the second generation of our family to experience war-related displacement in the Balkans.
The visit was life changing because it helped me realize my professional opportunities back home in Seattle were beyond anything available to the people I met during my trip. Returning home, I appreciated even more the hardship my grandparents had gone through to immigrate to the United States after World War II.
I’d always had an interest in personal finance, and after a great amount of due diligence with a number of investments firms, I accepted an offer to join Edward Jones in 1999.
One of the best parts of my job is being of service to people and having a positive impact on their and their families’ lives. I am humbled to have the opportunity to learn about people’s dreams and goals and provide assistance in working toward important accomplishments in their lives.
My senior branch office administrator, Sue, and I have worked as a team for 20 years, and Karen has worked with us as a part-time BOA for three years. We enjoy working with individuals, families and business owners who work hard to earn their money, while investing in a balanced and thoughtful manner. In a world of 800-numbers and never speaking to the same customer service person twice, Sue and Karen are not only available, they provide consistency and grow to understand our clients’ personal needs.
I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in business management and hold my AAMS designation. I have been married for 34 years and have two adult daughters. Besides traveling, I am an avid road cyclist and retired competitive cyclist. I enjoy day hiking and camping when possible in our Westfalia, plays at the Rep and I'm a Seattle Sounders fan.
