My team strives to understand what's important to you. We use an established intentional process to build personalized strategies to help you achieve your goals. And we will partner with you throughout your life with frequent reviews to help keep you on track.
My team includes Martina Swanson, who has been with me for over 18 years. Martina is a Senior Branch Office Administrator and serves as a mentor to others. Martina and I are both limited partners of the Edward Jones firm.
I especially enjoy the teaching aspect of being a financial advisor. I like helping clients understand how markets and investment products work together to accomplish their wants, needs and goals. Identifying and focusing on what is truly important and learning what is just the noise of the moment.
I have earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ professional designation from The College for Financial Planning. The College for Financial Planning awards the AAMS® designation to individuals who successfully complete a 12-module professional education program, pass a final examination, commit to its code of ethics and agree to pursue continuing education.
I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. After college, I worked in manufacturing management for Procter & Gamble, starting up two Pringles plants in addition to other assignments.
My education, a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, has had a major influence on my logical approach to solving many of life's issues. I remain a life-long-learner, curious and wanting to know how "it all fits together", no matter what the subject. I've also learned it’s best to not over-complicate things. The simplest answer is often the best answer.
My wife, Karen, and I have been married 35 years. We have a blended family of six children and fifteen grandchildren. My work as a financial advisor is what I really love doing but when away from the office, I enjoy golf, fishing, woodworking and learning something new.
