A passion for helping people and guiding them through complex landscapes led me to my career as a financial advisor over 17 years ago. Since then, I have advised clients during different life stages, complex financial situations and ever-changing market conditions.

I work primarily with a select group of successful individuals, families, executives and business owners who, among other things, aspire to a work-optional lifestyle.

After first taking time to listen and thoroughly understand what is important to our clients, I use an established process to build personalized strategies to help meet their goals. Then we help quarterback a team of tax, estate planning and other professionals to help ensure you stay on track.

My teammate, Elisa Bailey, and I have worked together for over six years and she is an extension of the service experience that I provide to our clients. She is highly efficient, extraordinarily cheerful and has my complete confidence in her care of our clients and their families.

Now, more than ever, it is important to meet clients on their own terms and we are very flexible in accommodating your needs. We can meet in the office, at your home or virtually if you are out of town or just have a busy schedule. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

About me:
One of my passions has been the Charlotte Economics Club (a chapter of the National Association of Business Economics) where I have served as board chair for membership, president from 2016 through 2017, past president from 2018 through 2019 and another 2-year term as president in 2021 to rebuild following COVID. I am also involved in solutions for affordable housing, workforce development and housing the chronically homeless.

My education includes graduation from Charlotte's Myers Park High School, a Bachelor of Arts in political science from UNC-Chapel Hill, a master's in business administration from Winthrop University and various securities and insurance licenses.

In my spare time, I enjoy training my AKC Trick Certified Australian Cattle Dog, Petey, economics, public policy, martial arts (Isshin Ryu Karate, Kung Fu, Jiu Jitsu) and hiking.

I am blessed with my wife and soul-mate, Holli, and my two sons, Michael and James, and enjoy our raucous Monopoly games tremendously.
