Shortly after I was born, my parents went to a financial planner and got their one-time comprehensive plan, but it just couldn’t cover all of what life had to throw at them. When I was 11 years old, my dad got sick and passed away from cancer.

My mom was left trying to figure out how to provide. My dad had earned a good living, and my mom is an educated, savvy woman. She struggled to keep us afloat in Southern California as a young widowed mother of two. The choices she (and we) had to make were hard on our family and our relationships.

Watching my mom navigate it all on her own, I dreaded adding to her burden and avoided it whenever possible. When it was time to apply to colleges, I couldn’t bring myself to ask her for application money. Cobbling together the funds to pay for my own schooling out of pocket (and avoid debt) cemented my passion for creative financial strategies.

That’s why, when I became a financial advisor, I knew the only option was to be a long-term partner for my clients, providing financial strategies that adapt to life’s curveballs.

I believe the old-school approach to financial advice underestimates the intelligence and interest of today’s advisory client, which is why I do things differently. It’s important that I do more listening than talking, because it’s your priorities and values that should shape your investment strategy. And my work doesn’t stop after a couple of appointments.

My purpose-driven process is designed to leave no stone unturned. We’ll regularly have meaningful conversations on themes like asset strategies, liability considerations, wealth protection and your legacy. This creates a disciplined approach to investing and a robust way to stay on top of the different aspects of your financial life.

You can think of me as your family’s financial partner: You bring your goals and dreams, I’ll bring the organization and accountability.
