Like many others, my financial education began at a young age. My 6th grade paper route consisted of over 50 houses throughout my neighborhood. Every day, I would load my paper satchel onto my bike and hit the streets of North Bend. Each month, I was required to go door to door to collect the $5 subscription. As collections added up, my juvenile imagination would run wild with all the things I wanted to buy. My mom helped me budget my earnings and I realized my dreams of buying a go-cart would have to wait 8 more months to become a reality! My paper route instilled the values of discipline, hard work and financial patience at a young age.
After studying marketing and economics at the University of Oregon and competing on the Ducks Track and Field team, my passion for improvement led me to Edward Jones. As an advisor with our firm, I have the opportunity to help my community by providing personalized and intentional financial strategies. Whether you're a business owner, retiree or a first-time investor - there are always opportunities for growth.
Lessons of hard work, discipline and patience from my youth would be crucial as I began my career in the heart of the financial crisis of 2008. Through that difficult time and since, I've seen firsthand the importance of having a trusted relationship with your financial advisor. Understanding your personal goals, using established processes to build tailored strategies and communicating regularly about those goals and strategies are paramount to financial success. I love pacing with families throughout their financial journey and helping them gain control of their goals.
My wife and I fell in love with the town of Coburg, OR early in our marriage and have since made it our home. I am involved in Coburg Chamber, Coburg Planning Commission, Kiwanis and playing guitar at our church. Our four kids (Jack, Ben, Reese and Will) keep me busy coaching flag football and tee-ball, golfing and exploring Oregon in our small airplane.
