My mother was my hero in life. As a single parent of five, she started a printing company from scratch and built it into a thriving business before her untimely death. I was lucky to work beside her for several years, and she taught me invaluable lessons on the value of a work ethic and how to properly treat your clients.
It was initially as a client that I was introduced to Edward Jones. After many discussions with my financial advisor, it was evident I needed to become a part of this firm, given the culture and environment they create for their clients and employees. I've been a member of the Edward Jones family for 23 years – seven of those years as a client.
So how do we do business here? Well, most financial advisors are going to discuss things like portfolio construction or diversification. However, first I need to find out what's most important to you. There's a process to identify what that is and then execute that process which does include discussions on portfolio construction and diversification.
But we all know life happens and a wrench is thrown in from time to time. It might be a good wrench like the birth of a grandchild or a job promotion, but also can be a bad wrench like needing to care for an elderly parent or one of your children loses their job.
I plan to partner with you as these good and bad wrenches pop up and help to make sure you stay on track.
On a personal note, my wife, Jessica, and I have three children, Jack, Jason and Abigail. I have been active in business and civic affairs in Kansas City for many years. I also am a member of the Independence Chamber of Commerce and a volunteer and past board member with the United Way of Greater Kansas City and the Marion Hope Center.
My partners in this business are Laura Thompson and Tricia Friedt. They pride themselves in knowing all they can about our clients while providing the highest level of service possible.
Let us show you how we can make a difference.
