Born and raised in a small coastal town in Washington State, I had the privilege to be the son and grandson to James A. and James D. Boora. Both spent their careers in the financial industry serving Aberdeen and surrounding communities. Most prominently, both worked as VP and President/CEO of Aberdeen Federal Savings & Loan, then Anchor Bank. My family had a significant impact in my upraising, and eventually I realized I wanted to follow in the financial footsteps of my father and grandfather.
I opened the first Edward Jones office in Hoquiam in 1999, in the historic Allman-Hubble Tug Boat office on the bank of the Hoquiam river. I have over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor, with my CFP® professional designation and a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University. We focus on serving families who have a desire to build wealth and pass that wealth on, for generations to come.
It is our goal to provide our clients with a personalized financial experience. This includes working together to deeply understand our clients, their families and their unique financial goals. We partner with our clients' tax and legal professionals and provide comprehensive financial analysis and long-term wealth management.
My wife, Christi Boora, is a native Harborite and the executive director of the Seabrook Community Foundation. We have two children, Brittani, a veterinary medical student at WSU, and Jimmy, a student at the University of Utah, studying business. If you can’t find Christi and I at work, you will find us with our friends and family enjoying the outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Contact our branch team, Taleana Peterson, senior branch administrator, or Kim Pirianian, branch office administrator, to schedule an appointment. We would be happy to provide a complimentary financial assessment. We look forward to speaking with you.
