I grew up in the Edward Jones family. My dad, Craig, started his career here before I was born, and retired decades later, a few years after I started.
I believe that a penny saved is a penny earned, that having your money work for you is a beautiful thing, and that money exists to serve a purpose in our lives – some for now and some for the future.
I grew up locally – graduating from Eastview High School in 2005, and St. Olaf College in 2009, where I studied psychology, family studies and women's studies. After college, I moved out East and earned a master's in social work at the University of Connecticut. I started my career as a financial advisor at Edward Jones in 2013. My interest in psychology and social work has been helpful in my career here; much of saving and investing successfully is behavioral. To enhance my knowledge, I've obtained the CFP® certification as well as the ChFC® designation.
We work with clients of a variety of ages, incomes and financial goals. What they all have in common is that they understand that money's value lies in how they use it to enrich their lives and the lives of others, and that we both play important roles in working toward achieving their goals.
Outside of work, I'm involved with Apple Valley Rotary and serve on the club's foundation board as president. We're passionate about literacy and food security, among other causes.
My husband, Nathan, and I live in Lakeville with our preschooler, Soren, our toddler, Anya, and our cats, Layla and Izzy. We love to travel. I'm a big fan of 1000-piece puzzles and audiobooks.
