I grew up in an Edward Jones family. My dad, Craig, began his career at Edward Jones before I was born. I grew up learning about the basics of investing; the idea of having your money work for you, the value of starting as soon as possible and that a penny saved is a penny earned.
I grew up locally – graduating from Eastview High School in 2005, and then St. Olaf College in 2009, where I studied psychology, family studies and women's studies. After college, I moved out East and earned a master's in social work at the University of Connecticut. I started my career as a financial advisor at Edward Jones in 2013, working alongside my dad for a few years before his retirement. My interest in psychology and social work has been helpful in my career here; I feel that much of saving and investing successfully is behavioral. To enhance my knowledge, I obtained the AAMS® designation in 2015 and in 2019, earned designation as a CFP® professional.
We work with clients of a variety of ages, incomes and financial goals. What they have in common is that they understand that money's value lies in how they use it to enrich their lives and the lives of others, and that both we and they play important roles in working toward achieving their goals.
Outside of work, I'm involved in Apple Valley Rotary and serve on the club's board, having just wrapped up my year as president. We're passionate about literacy and food security, among other causes.
My husband, Nathan, and I live in Eagan with our toddler, Soren, our infant, Anya, and our cats, Layla and Izzy. We enjoy traveling locally, domestically and internationally, and spending time with our families.
