I learned many things in my time as a boy scout, but one has stuck with me and continues to resonate in everything I do: Leave things better than you found them. I try to take this approach in every aspect of my daily life, both in the office and out.
After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill, my first job was with a small local business. It was here that I learned about the dedication it takes to achieve one's goals and here that it became my dream to build a business of my own. In 2000, I joined Edward Jones and my dreams and passions – running a business, investing and improving the world around me – became a meaningful career.
For over two decades, I have found purpose in partnering with clients to improve their lives and help them achieve the things that matter most to them. I have built my practice by treating clients as I want to be treated – a simple idea that still makes sense in today's complex marketplace. I believe it's important to invest my time to understand what you're working toward before you invest your money. I strive to make sure my clients feel heard and that I understand their unique goals and values, and focus on helping them navigate the investment world, building financial strategies that are tailored to their individual needs.
My branch team includes Sr. Branch Office Administrator Carolyn Churchill and Registered Branch Associate Heather Oakley, whose combined experience with the firm totals over 25 years of service. We provide attentive, highly personalized service to every client. We build deep, trusted relationships with our clients and partner with them for the long term.
In what I feel is a true testament to the relationships we build and the service we provide, I am honored to share that in 2022, my team and I were invited to attend Edward Jones' premier recognition conference, the Drucker Council, which recognizes the contributions and achievements of 75 of the most successful branch teams from the firm's more than 15,000.
I was also named to the 2022 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors ranking [Source: Forbes.com – April 2022; data as of 6/30/21].
My wife and I have three children. A family of avid basketball fans, many of our evenings and weekends are spent on the court. With my days playing largely behind me, I now enjoy spending time with my kids and giving back to the community through coaching youth leagues.
