My interest in finance started earlier than most when my grandparents gifted me my first stock. I was 11, and even though I still had a lot to learn about the financial world, I realized this was an investment in my future. Ever since that day, I’ve known I wanted to be a financial advisor and I’ve been working hard to achieve that goal.
I completed my BS in business administration with a minor in economics at SUNY-Oswego in 1998, after which I officially became a financial advisor. I wasn’t done learning though and completed my MBA in September of 2002 from Finance Pace University. Four years later, I joined the team at Edward Jones in November of 2006, and I’ve never looked back. A lifelong learner, I now also hold an AAMS® professional designation to better serve my clients.
As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I love having the opportunity to partner with serious, long-term investors to achieve their financial goals, whatever they may be. I’m honored to have the opportunity to help coach my clients through common mistakes like making short-term investments that don’t get them any closer to their goals. That’s why it’s so important to sit down with my investors and really talk about what’s important, building a relationship founded on accessibility and trust. I know I’m on the right track anytime a client refers a family member or friend to our branch.
Though my office is located in Morristown, NJ, I am happy to partner with clients across the US using technology like Zoom. I couldn’t do it without my branch office administrator, Nancy Southwick. She is both reliable and dedicated to creating an ideal client experience, whether we’re working with local or out-of-state investors.
Outside of the office, I love spending time with my wife, Caryn, and our son, Brent. Originally from Toronto, I’m a massive hockey fan and have been coaching the Northern Highlands High School Highlanders for the past 18 years. I also love to travel.
