As a financial advisor, I have a passion for working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals. Those goals can range from retirement and education planning, and leaving a legacy, to buying a cabin or something else. Every individual has unique circumstances, and I enjoy being able to develop a strategy to help realize a successful outcome for clients.

It has become evident that a career as a financial advisor was in my future based on one of my childhood hobbies. I loved collecting football cards of my favorite athletes. I also found enjoyment in trading them among my friends trying to get cards that I thought would be more valuable. I owned a collectors guide and would continuously look up my cards to see how valuable they were and would try and trade for ones that were worth more money. Little did I know at that age how this correlated to the stock market. Combine that with family members that had careers in education and the role of financial advisor is a perfect fit.

My father is also a financial advisor. As I was growing up, I knew what he did but did not understand the seriousness of it until I got older and had conversations with my mom. As I got interested in finance, my mom told me how comfortable that made her because she was nervous of who would take care of her if something ever happened to my dad. Knowing that a financial advisor's wife had concerns about money individually made me realize there must be a lot more people like my own mom who needed help and guidance.

I graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2009 with a business administration degree with an emphasis in finance and accounting. I started at Edward Jones in 2010. We work with clients by discussing their background, risk tolerance and financial goals to formulate a strategy. The plans are ever evolving as we navigate the twists and turns that our personal lives and the world present to us. The clients that Tracy (branch office administrator) and I serve are extremely valuable to us and through the years become more like friends than clients. That is the kind of impact we truly find successful. We find enjoyment in helping individuals and families realize their goals and seeing their successes along their journey.
